2019 Raul Perez ‘Las Gundiñas’ Lomas de Valtuille Bierzo, Spain
Las Gundiñas was planted in 1910 on clay intermixed with some limestone (uncommon in Valtuille) • Mostly Mencía with some Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet), Bastardo (Trousseau), and a relatively high percentage of Doña Blanca • Fermented with whole clusters and a long post-fermentation maceration • raised for one year in used 225L and 500L barrels • bottled without fining or filtration
